Undergraduate Digital Art + Design Courses

Students are introduced to creative digital tools focusing on Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Animate, Adobe Premiere and Adobe AfterEffects.

Courses introduce students to vector-based animation and interactivity for the Web using Macromedia Flash, now Adobe Animate. The course focuses on the planning, design, and production of an animated short. Topics covered will include information architecture, keyframing, timelines, tweens, sound, storyboarding, and basic ActionScript programming.

Courses introduce students to the basic principles and practices of electronic video creation and production. The course covers using both still images and video footage to create digital videos. Production techniques include importing and managing clips, editing source clips, non-linear editing techniques and effects, developing titles, incorporating sound, and rendering for output.

This course introduces students to motion graphics creation and production using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe AfterEffects. Using combinations of both still images and video footage to create motion graphics for the web and for videos, students will learn the fundamentals of keyframing, compositing and layering images, applying effects over time, frame rendering, titling, and rotoscoping. Emphasis will be placed on editing techniques, aesthetics, incorporating sound, and rendering for output.
